Gooey Banana Chocolate Chip Squares

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe bananas

  • 1 cup flour (I used whole wheat)

  • 1/3 cup melted unsalted butter

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract

  • 1 pinch of sea salt

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 tbsp plain greek yogurt

  • 1/3 cup chocolate chips (or more, whatever you like)

  • 6 Lindt milk chocolates, chopped up

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F

  • In a large mixing bowl, put in your bananas and mash them up with a fork as well as you can. No need to make it a perfect puree—it’s nice to have some chunks

  • Add in your flour, melted butter, sugar, vanilla extract, salt, baking powder, large egg and greek yogurt. Mix until smooth, about ~1 minute

  • Add in your Lindt chocolate and 1/2 of your chocolate chips. Mix until combined

  • In a 10”x14” greased pan, add in your mixture. Top with your remaining chocolate chips and a small pinch of sea salt

  • Put in the oven for 18-20 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown

  • Take out and let cool. At this point the dough may seem a bit raw but it will solidify as it cools

  • Wait at least 10 minutes, top with more sea salt if you wish, and enjoy!
