Crispy Cheese Bacon & Egg Sandwich
Ingredients
2 slices of thick, square white bread (our favourite is D’Italiano)
3 slices of bacon
2 tbsp butter
2 eggs
1/2 cup gouda cheese, shredded
1 Kraft single
Fresh parsley
Salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to taste
Instructions
Get hollandaise sauce started so it’s ready for pouring when sandwich ingredients are done. Read the package for instructions
In a medium frying pan, cook your bacon to your desired crispiness (we made it extra crispy). Once done, set aside
Drain most of the grease (save some if you love yourself)
Butter both sides of the bread (~1 tbsp) and put in frying pan on medium-high. Once each side is nicely browned, take off and set aside
Crack eggs in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and gouda. Whisk until blended
On medium-high heat in the same frying pan, add in the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Once melted, add eggs
Cook eggs to your desired scrambly-ness, and try to shape it into a square for optimal bread to egg symmetry. After first flip, add cheese
Assemble sandwich. Put hollandaise inside like in the pic or outside or on both. Save some in a bowl for dipping
