Crispy Cheese Bacon & Egg Sandwich

Egg Sandwich.jpg

Ingredients

  • 2 slices of thick, square white bread (our favourite is D’Italiano)

  • 3 slices of bacon

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 2 eggs

  • 1/2 cup gouda cheese, shredded

  • 1 Kraft single

  • McCormick’s hollandaise sauce

  • Fresh parsley

  • Salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder to taste

Instructions

  • Get hollandaise sauce started so it’s ready for pouring when sandwich ingredients are done. Read the package for instructions

  • In a medium frying pan, cook your bacon to your desired crispiness (we made it extra crispy). Once done, set aside

  • Drain most of the grease (save some if you love yourself)

  • Butter both sides of the bread (~1 tbsp) and put in frying pan on medium-high. Once each side is nicely browned, take off and set aside

  • Crack eggs in a bowl. Add salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and gouda. Whisk until blended

  • On medium-high heat in the same frying pan, add in the remaining 1 tbsp of butter. Once melted, add eggs

  • Cook eggs to your desired scrambly-ness, and try to shape it into a square for optimal bread to egg symmetry. After first flip, add cheese

  • Assemble sandwich. Put hollandaise inside like in the pic or outside or on both. Save some in a bowl for dipping
