Don’t like pickles? Dill with it.

Ingredients

Pizza Dough

  • 1 cup all purpose flour

  • 1 cup bread flour

  • 1 cup warm water

  • 8 g active dry yeast

  • 1 tsp. white sugar

  • 2-3 tbsp olive oil

Toppings

  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce

  • 2 medium-sized garlic pickles, cut into thin slices

  • 2 large garlic cloves, diced

  • 2 tsp. dried dill

  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella

  • 1/4 cup shaved parmesan

  • Fresh ground pepper

Dip

  • 4 tbsp. mayonaise

  • 1 tbsp. dry dill

  • 1 tsp. yellow mustard

  • 1 tsp. ground pepper

  • 1 tsp. sriracha

  • 1-2 tbsp. water (add slowly and stop at your desired consistency)

Instructions

Pizza Dough

Makes one extra-large pizza or 2 small pizzas

  • In a medium-sized mixing bowl, combine your warm water, sugar and yeast. Stir together and let sit for 10-15 minutes

  • Once a foam has formed over the top of the water, add in both flours

  • Mix with your hands. Once a ball has formed, put some flour on your (clean) countertop and move the dough there

  • Add your olive oil 1 tbsp. at a time, kneading through your dough until it turns into a glossy, soft ball

  • Put back in bowl, cover with saran wrap, and put in fridge overnight

  • The next day, take the bowl out of the fridge and let sit in a warm area for 30 minutes, still covered

  • After 30 minutes, move your dough over to a sheet pan that has been generously sprayed with oil

    • If you’re making 2 small pizzas, cut the dough in half now

  • Put your dough on your pan and spread out with hands. If making a heart shape, you can easily mould the dough into your shape. I used a toothpick to get a more defined point at the top of the heart

Dip

  • Combine all dip ingredients in a small dish. Voila! Even if you don’t like dip, you you should still make this as it is added to the pizza sauce

Toppings

  • Once you’re happy with your dough shape, add your pizza sauce. Make sure to leave about 1/2 inch edges so that you will have a crust

  • Then, add 2 tbsp. of your dill sauce on top of your pizza sauce. Spread the dip across the pizza sauce, creating a rosé coloured base sauce

  • Next, evenly add your mozzarella cheese on top of your sauce

  • Now for the best part: pile on your pickles!

  • Add some parmesan on top of your pickles, followed by garlic, fresh ground pepper and dry dill

  • It’s time to put your pizza in the oven. In a preheated oven at 450 F, put in your pizza on the middle rack from 12-15 minutes (I took mine out at 14 minutes).

  • Let sit for 5 minutes, transfer to a cutting board, cut and serve!

  • Dip your pizza into the dip above for the ultimate dill pickle experience :P
